0,0,0: a global snapshot of non-objective art in the digital age

commemorating the 110th anniversary of kazimir malevich’s groundbreaking 0,10 exhibition (petrograd, 1915), the 0,0,0 portfolio is a seminal contemporary project that explores the enduring legacy of geometric and non-representational art worldwide.

the title “0,0,0” references the pure state of the color black in programming code, symbolizing the core principle of maximum reduction and universal applicability—a direct conceptual bridge to malevich's revolutionary "zero form."

this limited-edition portfolio gathers 30 original works by international artists, showcasing the vibrant, transcultural evolution of constructivist principles across different generations and continents. it is a visual dialogue between the historical avant-garde and the logic of our networked, digital world.

born in rome in 1970, where she continues to live and work, fiorelli graduated from the academy of fine arts in rome in 1993. her practice is a rigorous investigation of the "line"—not merely as a graphic mark on a surface, but as a physical, elastic thread that carves through the void. while the "0,10" exhibition of 1915 established the "zero point" through the absolute flat plane, fiorelli evolves this legacy by introducing physical tension and complex spatial layers into the geometric vacuum.

her significant standing in the contemporary art world is marked by numerous accolades, including the pollock-krasner foundation grant (2019) and the banca aletti artverona prize (2010). her career has been shaped by international residencies in turkey, poland, and the united states, as well as invitations to prestigious platforms such as the quadriennale di roma. notably, her participation in the 2005 exhibition "lucio fontana and his legacy" highlighted her role in continuing the spatialist tradition. since 2013, she has collaborated with the legendary galerie denise rené in paris, cementing her connection to the history of kinetic and constructive art.

fiorelli’s contribution to the 0,0,0 portfolio captures the "re-negotiation of abstraction" through a delicate interplay of material and atmosphere. from her early experiments with mathematical concepts at ca' foscari to her recent performative works like "ad alta tensione," she has consistently translated the foundational geometry of the avant-garde—the squares and diagonals of suprematism—into three-dimensional structures. by using elastic thread to define boundaries, she captures the "zero point" as a site of physical energy, where the void becomes a structured, vibrating presence.

in commemoration of the 110th anniversary of "0,10," fiorelli demonstrates that the pursuit of pure artistic sensation remains vital through the manipulation of space itself. her work in the portfolio proves that the trajectory of modernism continues to move forward, finding new meaning in the tension between mathematical rigor and the ethereal lightness of the space it inhabits.
